Apps We Love – SoundHound, Goodberry’s
Welcome to our brand-new blog features, Apps We Love! As employees at a company that creates apps, there’s no doubt that we have plenty of apps hanging out on our smartphones and tablets. But out of all the apps that we own (and the many more that are out there), which ones are our favorites? I have to give my vote to these two:
SoundHound
When I was a kid, I hoped that someday there would be something that could automatically give me information about the song I was listening to on the radio. Upon discovering that there is now an app for that, I was thrilled! With just one tap, SoundHound listens to the song, and within seconds it comes up with not only the title and artist but also the lyrics, videos, recommended songs based on the artist, recent tweets about the song and the option to download to iTunes.

Goodberry’s
If you live in the Triangle and have never been to a Goodberry’s, you’re missing out. Goodberry’s makes custard, which is similar to soft-serve ice cream except that it’s made with eggs, making it smoother and creamier. The homepage of the app tells you the most important information – the flavor of the day. The two other main features are the Concre-ator (the Carolina Concrete is the signature dish), where you can create concretes, and the My Concretes page, where you can save and rate your creations. Other features are the Flavor of the Day calendar, locations, and Goodberry’s Twitter and Facebook.
